Your winter adventure begins at Inglis Falls Conservation Area, where the 18-meter cascade of the Sydenham River transforms into a breathtaking display of ice and mist. Just steps from the parking area, you'll find several viewpoints offering postcard-perfect scenes of frozen beauty, while a short forest trail rewards you with a fresh perspective framed by snow-laden trees.
Next, wander to Jones Falls, a quiet winter gem only a few minutes' walk from the lot. The Pottawatomi River winds through a serene, snow-covered forest before plunging 12 meters over the escarpment, often partially frozen into stunning crystal formations.
Continue to Eugenia, where the 30-meter Eugenia Falls and nearby Hoggs Falls create a true winter wonderland. Snow-covered cliffs, sparkling icicles, and the distant rumble of flowing water make these stops unforgettable. If conditions allow, the adventure will also stop at Indian Falls, where a frozen horseshoe of ice and stone offers a spectacle.
Enjoy a day of short winter walks and scenic viewpoints, with trails that are easy to moderate but may be snowy or icy. Expect crisp air, frozen landscapes, and incredible photo opportunities at each stop. You'll feel the chill and magic of winter up close, from glistening ice formations to the gentle sound of flowing water beneath the freeze.
