About This Tour

Explore the stunning waterfalls of the Niagara Escarpment in St. Catharines, affectionately known as the "Garden City."

Your journey begins at the historic Morningstar Mill (1872), overlooking the beautiful 26-meter Decew Falls. When conditions allow, we'll hike to the Lower Decew Falls and continue toward Upper Decew and Faucet Falls, where the amphitheater-shaped cliffs create a truly spectacular view.

Next, venture into Rockway Conservation Area, following the 15 Mile Creek through scenic forest trails to the impressive 19-meter Rockway Falls.

Continue to Ball's Falls Conservation Area, home to the 27-meter Upper Falls and 11-meter Lower Falls, two dramatic drops surrounded by the historic Twenty Mile Valley. A short walk brings you to panoramic viewpoints and peaceful forest paths.

We'll finish at Louth Falls, a gentle 1.8 km loop that winds through forest and ancient rock formations before reaching the serene 9-meter cascade, a fitting finale to a day of natural beauty.

What to Expect

Expect a relaxed day of short to moderate hikes through forest trails and conservation areas, with multiple scenic viewpoints and excellent photography opportunities. The terrain includes some uneven or rocky sections, so sturdy footwear is recommended. Trails are peaceful, and while there's no swimming, you'll enjoy getting close enough to feel the mist from the falls.

What to Bring

Comfortable hiking shoes or sturdy walking sandals, trails can be rocky or uneven near the falls.
