About This Tour

Experience Hamilton's waterfalls like never before, frozen in time and glistening in ice. The escarpment transforms into a sparkling wonderland, offering magical views and peaceful trails away from the city.

Begin at Spencer Gorge, where Tew Falls and Webster Falls turn into icy masterpieces framed by snow-covered forests. The short walks and lookouts make these stops perfect for admiring and photographing the frozen cascades.

Next, venture to Tiffany Falls, one of Hamilton's most enchanting winter sights, a towering 21-meter column of ice, often used by experienced ice climbers. The easy forest trail to the base feels like stepping into a frozen fairytale.

We continue to Sherman Falls, where delicate icicles form along its stepped rock face, before finishing at the dramatic Devil's Punchbowl, its frozen waterfall plunging into the colorful, layered gorge, a sight that defines winter magic.

When time and weather allow, we'll also stop at Felker, Albion, or Buttermilk Falls, each offering its own frosty charm.

What to Expect

Expect a day of short winter hikes through snow-covered trails and scenic lookouts. The pace is relaxed, but footing can be slippery, so proper winter gear is essential. The waterfalls are partially or fully frozen, creating a landscape of shimmering ice and peaceful beauty. It's a photographer's dream and a serene escape into nature's quiet side.
